Giant Circular Tray · Crane Carnival · Fiesta
This round wooden tray, brings to life the circus world of Crane Carnival in the colourway Fiesta.
Amongst the fiesta flags, floating fruits and looming cranes, are six troubled species who have been plucked out of existence. The one commonality that ties these frightened animals together, is the simple fact that they all became extinct shortly after being discovered by humans.
Featured are the likes of Haast’s eagle, the largest eagle ever to have existed. With a wingspan of over three metres it’s commonly acknowledged to have been the very real Pouakai of Maori legend. Collectively these species held billions of years worth of unique evolutionary heritage, all of which was erased in a mere matter of decades following over-exploitation by our own species.
Illustrated in the Vespertine studio by Sam Wilde, each tray is hand-crafted on the Swedish island of Öland and made to the highest specifications using FSC certified Scandivanian birch wood.
Display as a colourful artwork or use your tray to serve up anything from afternoon tea to evening cocktails. All Vespertine trays offer timeless style, versatility and have been crafted to last you a lifetime.
